Switzerland has joined Germany in supporting education and professional skills in Kosovo, through the Regional Challenge Fund, with the aim of improving youth skills and adapting them to labour market requirements.
According to the Fund’s Fourth Call, five new partnerships have made grants commitments of a total value of about 2.1m euros.

Through these investments, over 700 students are expected to take opportunities to develop practical and professional skills in various sectors, Olgraph writes.
The areas to be supported include cyber security, artificial intelligence, milk technology and sports training, aimed at preparing youth for professions that require specialized knowledge and applicable skills in practice.
The initiative also aims to strengthen co-operation between educational institutions and businesses so that training programmes are more compatible with the real needs of the economy and employers.
Through the Regional Challenge Fund, Germany and Switzerland are supporting the development of education and professional skills in Kosovo, with a focus on increasing employment opportunities and preparing a qualified workforce.
Support for five new partnerships aims to create further opportunities for young people, offering them access to professional skills that can help integrate into the labour market and the country’s economic development. /Telegraphy/
