PUS President Donald Trump stated early Wednesday that a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Voldymyr Zelensky will be organised very soon, while failing to rule out the possibility of further US attacks on Iran following the intermediate US elections held next week.

Speaking to reporters after returning from election gatherings in Texas, Trump said he had discussed both conflicts with Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Special Envoy Steve Whitkoff on board the Presidential Air Force One.

I believe we are making great progress in the Russia-Ukraine case. A meeting will soon be organised, he said, broadcast Clankosova.tv.

I asked who would attend, Trump answered: President Putin and President Zelenskyıh, without providing further details about the timing, location or meeting format.

Moscow and Kiev last held peace negotiations brokered by the US earlier this year, with three rounds of talks in January and February, in Abu Dhabi and Geneva. A meeting between the presidents of the two countries would be an unprecedented development since the beginning of the war in 2022.
