The Parliament hearing begins with a solidification with women with breast cancer

Kosovo Assembly deputies have been solidified with women and girls affected by breast cancer, wearing pink headscarves, as a sign of support and awareness of the disease.

At the entry of the parliamentary session, Chief Parliamentary Albulen Haxhiu urged women to care for their health and conduct regular medical checkups, stressing the importance of early discovery of the disease.

Haxhiu said that although October, dedicated to awareness of breast cancer, is ending, care and attention to this issue should continue throughout the year.

The month of awareness, of October, is about to end, but the care should be done. When the disease is discovered early on, the chances of recovery are much greater, and often it makes a checkup that lasts just a few minutes. Our call remains the same after October, and it is addressed to all women: Please check in time and go to the doctor regularly. Today, we become better acquainted with women who are facing this disease and their families. For institutions caring for women’s health is a permanent obligation, she has said.
