English striker Ivan Toney has been declared innocent of the assault charge in connection with an alleged incident at a London nightclub in December 2025.
Toney appeared on Thursday before the Court of the Crown in Southwark, where he officially denied the charge against him. The trial is scheduled to begin on June 12th, 2028.

According to reports, the incident had occurred at a nightclub and concert space in central London, where a debate between footballer and Saber Da Silvas allegedly ended in physical clashes.
Brentford’s ex-attack allegedly hit Da Silva with his head and then with a few fists. According to reports, he had suffered nose and finger injuries.
The police had arrived at the scene within half an hour and had Toney removed from the bar. The footballer was officially charged in July 2026, following an investigation by the Metropolitan Police.
A Toney spokesman had earlier stated that the footballer was shocked by the prosecution and wanted to prove his innocence in court.
The trial is expected to begin just three days after the start of the 2028 European Championship, which will be organised in the United Kingdom and Ireland. This could affect the possibility of the attackers being part of the tournament when he is 32-year-old.
Toney had scored 72 goals during the four years of Branford, before in 2024 he moved to Al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia.
