Belgian prosecution has asked for two years in prison for former Rome and Inter football player Radja Nainggolan, who is suspected of involvement in a money laundering case under a cocaine trafficking investigation.

Naggolan, 38-year-old, allegedly laundered 105 thousand and 500 euros for a criminal organisation, while prosecutors claim he has accepted more than 100 thousand euros over several months from a person’s brother involved in organised crime in Belgium.

The issue is being handled by Belgian justice, which has already applied for the former midfielder’s two-year sentence.

Nainggolan has a long career in European football, during which he has played for several popular clubs, including Rome and Inter in Italy. He has also been part of Belgium’s representative.
