The situation, created in Albania, where protests have been under way for several days, has prompted Pristina and Malisevo to postpone the seniors’ walks that were scheduled to be realised in this country.

The Municipal Education Directorate in Pristina has decided to postpone the Middle School of Medicine seniors to a more appropriate period when the conditions needed for its development are provided safely.

For this reason, it is considered necessary to postpone the trip to a more appropriate moment when the conditions needed for its development are provided safely, says Arian Elshani, the head of education in the capital.

He has warned that the same decision will be made for the capital’s two other schools, 28 November and School of Economics.

Meanwhile, high school seniors Jevvdet Dodaım Cabej, Sami Frashire, and Ghaulı in Pristina have planned to travel to Albania for next year.

Similar decisions have been made by the Malisheva Community, which has postponed the Gmnazi seniors’ tour for next year.

Malisheva Education Director Abreshe Krasniqi had announced the seniors’ decision on October 20th, following consultations with the mayor of the municipality, Ekrem Kastrati, and the school principal, Aziz Mazrek.

In the report published on Facebook, Krasniqi had stressed that the current situation in Albania does not create adequate conditions for the realisation of the trip in this period.

I announce that the current situation in Albania, after protests there, does not create the right conditions for the realisation of the trip in this period. For this reason, the trip is cancelled for this time, with the hope and desire for the situation to calm down, and we will be able to achieve it in the spring of next year, Krasniqi wrote. / EO
