A regular police check on the road Sali Nivicaić in Pristina has ended with the arrest of a 21-year-old, as an alleged amount of marijuana-like narcotics substance has been found in him, the Signal newspaper reports.
Signal sources suggest that it is Arlind Rushiti, about 21-year-old, in which police officials have found 19.6 grams of suspected narcotic substance.
The case occurred on Friday, October 23, 2026, about 7:00, while the police unit reported the case at 7:30.
Following the discovery of the suspected substance, surveillance investigators and the forensics unit have been engaged at the scene, while the regional unit for narcotics investigation has also been announced.
The 21-year-old was arrested and then interviewed in the presence of his defence attorney.
Investigations have not stopped at street control alone. With the D.A.’s permission, police have searched the suspect’s house, but nothing suspicious has been found there.
After the police action was completed, with the State Prosecutor’s decision, Rushiti was released in regular procedure.
The case of unauthorized possession of narcotics, psychotrope or analogue has been initiated against him.
