After meeting Putin-Witkoff, Kremlin willing to resume tripartite peace talks in Ukraine

Russia is ready to resume trilateral talks with the United States and Ukraine in the first half of November, Russian President Vladimir Putin’s adviser, Yuri Usakov, has declared.

According to Usakov, Putin has conveyed this position to US President Steve Witkoff’s special envoy during their meeting.

Usakov announced that during the conversation, Witkoff had also presented new approaches to the European Union and Ukraine to the end of the war, but Moscow has praised them as a little useful.

The Kremlin’s statement comes at a time when diplomatic efforts to end the war in Ukraine continue to face major differences between the parties over terms of an agreement.

The resumption of trilateral talks would enable direct discussions between Moscow, Washington and Kiev, though no details have yet been disclosed about the date, location or possible agenda of the meeting.

So far, there has been no particular confirmation from the US and Ukrainian sides of the resumption of negotiations in the period mentioned by the Kremlin. /Telegraphy/
