The protest was organised following the assassination of Arlinda Zekiaj in Pec, who, according to reports, was killed with ax by her brother-in-law.
Protesters are seeking accountability from state institutions, as, according to organisers, the victim had repeatedly sought protection, but had failed to get it.

From the square, Zahir Pajazitiı, protesters are expected to march towards the country’s institutions, including the Ministry of Justice, the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, the Kosovo Judiciary Council, the Kosovo Police and Government.
Through this protest, it is required that Arlinda Zekiaj’s murder be not left without responsibility and that institutions take concrete measures to prevent violence against women and ensure their safety. /Telegraphy/
