At the Constitutional Court in Pristina this Tuesday, judicial consideration of Bedri Shaban and Muharrem Qreim, accused of spying, is continuing.

At today’s hearing, a police official, economic crimes investigator, who has confessed to contacts and meetings with accused Muharrem Qerim, former Kosovo Police official, is witnessing before the court.

The Witness claimed that Qarim had repeatedly insisted on meeting him as she explained that because of the nature of his work as an investigator, it was his duty to keep in touch with information sources.

According to the witness, at one of the meetings, the government had expressed disappointment with the fact that communication between them was not mutual in exchange of information.

I’m giving you information, you gave me nothing, the police official testified that he told Muharrem Qerim.

He declared that he had made it clear to Qenim that he was no longer part of the Kosovo Police and that he had no information to share with him.

The Witness claimed that government had left work because of misuse, stressing that this fact was one of the reasons why it could not provide information.

I’ve let him know that he’s no longer a part of the police after he’s been fired for abuse, and that I don’t have anything to tell him was the essence of his testimony before the court.

Bedri Shaban and Muharrem Qerim are facing charges by the Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo for the crime of spying.

The judicial process against them is continuing with the administration of evidence and witness hearing.
