Side attacker Kvarika Kvaratskhelia has suffered disassemblement of the aerial infection on the right knee and will undergo surgery.

The news has been confirmed by the French club on Wednesday, announcing that the Georgian football player has suffered a serious injury during the meeting held Tuesday against Barcelona.

Kvarratskhelia was injured during the match, which the SPG won with a score of 4-2, and was forced to leave the field just before 60 minutes ago. His condition was disturbing, since the attacker could not support his foot on the ground and needed help to get away from the field.

According toReuters, the injury is expected to close the football season, creating a major blow to European champions in power.

Even Demble and Marquinhos outside the fields

Physical problems were not limited to Kvaratskhelia. The SPG also lost during the match the Ottoman Demble services, which were replaced in the 19th minute due to a leg injury.

Captain and defender Marquinhos was also forced to leave the game because of a similar physical problem.

The Parisian club has announced that both footballers will continue treatment over the coming weeks.

Europe’s excellent PSG

Despite the injuries, the SPG is undergoing a successful start in the Champions League. The French team has recorded three victories in the first three matches and is leading the rankings, but Kvaratskhelia’s possible long-term absence poses a major problem for the coach.

Already, attention will be to recovery of injured football players and the way Louis Enrique will manage the ongoing team of the season, at a time when the SPG aims to defend the European title.
