Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has demanded that Kosovo be granted membership candidate country status in the European Union, stressing that the time has come for the opening of membership negotiations.
During his statement, Kurti has also voiced hope that the pledges of London Summit 2018 will return to attention, especially those related to justice for crimes committed during the war and the dawn of the fate of missing persons.
The time has come to obtain candidate status and open negotiations for EU membership. Therefore, today and every day I will ask all EU leaders to ask for an opinion from the European Commission, Kurti said.
