A suspected fraud ring through call centres (call center), which had targeted foreign citizens, has been hit by Kosovo police.
Among the nine people arrested are former Big Brother resident V IP Albania, Ariana Plakici, and former KF New Pristina football player Tony Salihu.
The signal newspaper has exclusively secured the names of nine suspected persons who ended up in handcuffs during the operation held Friday in the Pristina region.
It’s Tony Salih, about 27-year-old Durim Morina, about 36-year-old, the Hasan diamond, about 25-year-old Rea Hashani, about 23-year-old Progress Reka, about 36-year-old Dorent Hajredin, about 27-year-old Faikka, about 19-year-old Ariana Plakicin, about 32-year-old and Bidaim Emin, about 23.
The event was carried out on October 23rd 2026, about 11:00 in Pristina and Obilic, following a period of investigative actions that had led to the identification of suspected persons.
According to information the signal has provided, the nine detainees allegedly acted in co-operation with each other, exploiting call centres to contact foreign citizens, with the goal of fraud and illegal financial gain.
One of the elements that has attracted the attention of investigators is the data of foreign citizens found in the suspect’s computer equipment.
Such information was allegedly used to contact people who later became the object of fraud.
Investigations have led to the raid on four locations, where police units have encountered a large number of electronic devices and other items that have been seized as material evidence.
Full of 39 computers and 12 external data storage devices ( HDZ) have been seized during the operation.
Among the items seized are mobile phones, a car, a six – bullet gun, and 850 euros and 100 Swiss francs.
All nine people have been accompanied for interviews, while after completing the initial investigative actions, the State Prosecutor has ordered their detention for 48 hours.
The case is being investigated for the criminal act ‘%s’, while investigators are continuing their work to clarify each suspect’s role and the size of the alleged event.
The value of financial damage allegedly caused to foreign citizens has not yet been disclosed.
