Montenegrin Prime Minister Milloko Spajic said elections in Serbia recall that the will of citizens and the right to decide freely for their future are the foundation of any democratic change.

By congratulating representatives of the Student List, he voiced confidence that relations between the two countries will be based on respect and open dialogue, with no need to raise tensions.

The citizens of both states deserve relations that measure with concrete results of co-operation and not with the depth of diplomatic disputes, Spajic wrote.

Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Ambassador to the UN, Zlatko Lagumdzija, congratulated Serbia’s students and citizens, naming the Student List’s victory an excellent day for a prosperous future for Serbia and the region.

Congratulations to the students and people of Serbia. Zoran Djindjic’s legacy lives. I hope we will walk together and seize the opportunity for a new start on our common road towards the Euro-Atlantic future, Lgurmzija said.

Hungary’s prime minister, Peter Magyar, also reacted to his party’s victory over Viktor Orban in the April elections.

In Serbia, Vuciq has conceded defeat. The Student List has won the absolute majority in the election. The festivities have started on roads across Serbia), Magyar wrote on X.

Is that familiar?

European Democratic Party ( The EDP) welcomed the Student List’s victory in parliamentary elections, saying this result gives Serbia a new opportunity on the road to the European Union.

A remarkable victory for Serbia’s democracy, freedom and future, said Sandro Gozi, Eurodeputs from the Renew Group Europe and the EDP secretary general.

This remarkable outcome is the result of the efforts of an entire generation of young people who had the courage, determination, and strength to convince citizens of all ages that change is not only necessary but also possible, he added.
