Rama: Violent protests target destabilisation of the country

Albania’s prime minister, Edi Rama, has stated that the goal of recent protests is to destabilise the country and distort Albania’s road, turning it back into the past.

He has claimed that organized crime and foreign factors lie behind the protests, while also criticising the media for the way they reported violence.

The goal is very clear: the destabilisation of the country and the deviation of our path, turning us back into the past, Rama said Saturday at a news conference attended by Interior Minister Ervin Demo.

During the conference, the head of the Albanian government has criticised the media, accusing them of relating violence on behalf of students.

What impressed me most was the reaction of corrupt screens to a list that would all reflect and further relativism of violence always on behalf of students, he said.

Rama has also indicated that Albania is in constant contact with Italy and France for developments that, according to him, relate to the ANTIFA event.

At the same time, in all three of our countries, the flame of ANTIFA urban terror has appeared in its blind strength, Rama has declared.

However, he has acknowledged that there are problems in Albania requiring address, but has stressed that violence cannot be an acceptable way to express dissatisfaction.
