Rama raises the alarm for the Mediterranean Games: ICG addresses left unanswered by government

Pristina Chairman Progress Rama has declared that the International Committee of Mediterranean Games ( The ICG) has scheduled a meeting on December 19th, in which it will be discussed further steps related to the organisation of the Mediterranean Games in Kosovo.

Speaking on the show “Debat Plus” at RTV Dukaagjini for his warning about the risk of failing to organise the games, Rama said that on October 15th they have accepted an email from the ICG. According to him, the email, which they have made public, highlights problems in communication and in meeting Kosovo Government obligations to the committee.

Now we have a new date, December 19th, where the ICG calls a meeting that sets out what is done next, Rama has said.

He said they responded immediately to the email, calling the issue serious and of international importance.

It’s a serious issue, it’s not a joke, it’s not a matter that’s in the hands of the central level or the local level, but it’s an international issue, the issue of the Mediterranean Games, where Kosovo, Pristina, for the first time, probably the only one, is likely to present itself globally as a true host of the Medajranean Games, he said.

Rama accused the Government of neglect, claiming that several emails sent by the ICG have remained unanswered.

This is being overlooked, is clearly seen by the ICG email, against having sent some emails after no government response, and as a result, this next date that the ICG itself has set up for discus about the daily games in Kosovo as a result of this negligence, he said.
