An Albanian fisherman, 58, has been found guilty in Great Britain after trying to transport 17 immigrants from France to England on a yacht.
According to Britain’s National Crime Agency ( NCA), Eno Gajda, was arrested 27 August by border security officers on the coast of Dorset.

He had sailed on a 40 – foot – long yacht from Dielette, France, to the coast near Portland. The vehicle was spotted and banned by British authorities, who accompanied it to the port of Portland Marina.
17 people were found on board, 16 Albanian men and one minor respectively.
Gajda was charged with facilitating illegal immigration and on October 26th pleaded guilty to the Court of Crown in Bournemouth. He is expected to be pronounced sentence on November 18th.
Andy Tickner, director of the NCA, said that transporting migrants through one of the world’s most heavily loaded naval corridors was extremely dangerous, which put people’s lives on board at risk.
Meanwhile, Charlie Eastaugh, director of maritime affairs and small vessels at Border Security Command, stressed that authorities would continue co-operation to fight immigrant smuggling networks.
According to the NCA, the fight against organised crime related to immigration remains a priority, while the agency has more than 100 active investigations into individuals and networks suspected of involvement in smuggling migrants.
