UN Conjufca: Kosovo Sovereignty Not negotiable, Justice for Banjska

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora Glauk Konjufca has declared before the UN Security Council that Kosovo’s sovereignty cannot be negotiated and that Serbia must take responsibility for the September 24th 2023 attack on Banjska.

The independence of the Republic of Kosovo is not negotiable, nor is justice for Banjska’s terrorist attack, Konjufca has stressed.

During his speech, he has accused Serbia of supporting the attack on Banjska, citing Milan Radojici, whom he has named as his organiser. Konjufca has criticised the fact that Radovici has appeared at a Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq political rally in Kragujevc, instead of facing justice.

These are not isolated provocations, they display a hostile doctrine, territorial expansionism and impunity for armed aggression, he has declared.

Konjufca has called on Serbia to stop, as expressed, the hostile policy towards Kosovo, preventing its membership in international organisations and accepting mutual recognition as the basis for relations between the two states.

He must halt the systematic obstruction of Kosovo’s membership in international organisations and approve bilateral recognition as the basis for interstate relations, he has said.

Kosovo’s top diplomat has also criticised his Serbian counterpart, Marko Djuric, for not remembering Albanian war victims in Kosovo during his statement before the UN Security Council.

Mrs. President, the state of Serbia, with the flag of Serbia, has killed 12 thousand unarmed, innocent, Albanian people in my country. No word by Minister Djurovic for 12 thousand Albanians killed, that is what I call denial of justice, while he himself denied it, Konjufca has declared.

He has asked the international community to condemn Serbia’s actions and seek accountability for the attack on Banjska.
