Innovation and sustainability are taking on an increasingly important role in how businesses develop, create new products, and respond to the needs of society.

Just about the combination of these two areas, about the future of construction and projects aimed at bringing a new approach to the Kosovo market, Besart Hajrizi, associate for sustainability and innovation at Insta Innovation Center under Plana Ventures has spoken.

Hajrizi said the group in which they operate includes several related business entities, from investments and development of real estate projects to innovative construction systems and activities related to research, development and innovation.

According to him, the main ambition is for the traditional construction industry to increasingly transform into a standardized production process.

One of the elements he singled out is the company’s constructive system, through which the vast majority of an object is accomplished in the factory.

We’ve actually seen and transformed the construction industry into production, which means 98 percent of the house is built in the factory and only two percent éon-site, Hajriz said.

People, processes and products at the center of development

Hajriz explained that the development of products and projects is based on a framework called unjustly5Pʹ, which begins with people and continues with processes, products, projects and profits.

He stressed that people are considered the company’s most important asset, while processes are essential for transforming an idea into a product that can commercialise and create value in the market.

According to him, however, the financial outcome is not viewed as the only ultimate goal.

Hajriz said that the importance is also the impact business creates on environment and society, whether through educational activities, professional organizations or initiatives that promote higher standards of sustainability.

In this context, Insta Innovation Center has also organised BARSutainability Day, gathering experts on various fields to discuss the future of construction and standards that companies must meet.

Certificate as condition for international quality and markets

Another issue Hajriz considers important is the Certificate of products.

According to him, companies aiming to work with international partners must harmonise products and processes with relevant standards, as this directly affects product development and access to larger markets.

To be quality products, they must be certified.

We don’t sell square meters, sell opportunities and vision

An important part of the interview was dedicated to the project under way at Pristina’s entrance.

Hajrizi said the company’s philosophy is not simply oriented towards selling surfaces.

What characterizes us is that we don’t sell square meters. We sell opportunities. We sell vision, he declared.

According to him, the physical object is only the means of achieving a broader vision.

He said that in Kosovo many residential spaces have become over time into commercial offices and environments, while the aim of the new project is to create an environment designed from the very beginning for business needs.

Hajrizi said the idea is to create an ecosystem where Kosovo businesses can co-operate, generate innovation and also expose themselves to the international market.

I innovation is the result of co-operation, he said.

World Link Towers, business space and expansion from Kosovo to the world

Speaking to the World Link Towers, Hajriz said the project is conceived on three main pillars: co-operation, innovation, and the possibility of businesses growing and expanding globally from Kosovo.

According to him, the vision is for local companies to create an environment where they can interact and develop products or services with potential for international markets.

Kosovo from around the world is possible, Hayriz said.

He indicated that the complex includes two towers, called Alpha and Omega, with about 15 thousand square feet each, as well as other escort space.

The complex envisions, among other things, children’s nests, restaurants, and fine places, with the goal of reaching out for much of their daily activities within the same environment.

The project also envisions four underground levels and about 750 parking lots.

One element isolated during the interview was the recall, aimed at facilitating the dailyness of working parents in the complex, allowing children to have access to their workplace.

Greening and Endurance Part of the Vision

Asked whether the environmental aspect was involved in the project, Hajriz confirmed that greenery and elements of sustainability are part of the project vision.

He stressed that the goal is not only to create a large construction project but to develop a concept that responds to the concrete needs of people and businesses.

Our goal has never been and will never be simply selling square meters. Our idea is to meet customer requirements and needs, Hayriz said.

At the end of the interview, he repeated philosophy that, according to him, is behind the development of the company.

We don’t sell square meters. We sell vision and opportunities that facilitate the lives of Kosovo citizens, but also enable global growth and development. From Kosovo around the world is possible, Hayriz concluded. /Telegraphy/
