An unknown – aged man was found dead on the side of the highway today, for according to initial information, he was hit by a vehicle whose driver left the scene of the accident.

The person died of injuries received at the scene. Police teams conducted inspections, while competent services are taking steps to determine the identity of the deceased as well as to find the vehicle and driver who participated in the accident.

Interior Minister Panche Toshkovski confirmed the case during a presentation on Kanal 5. television.

Today we have such a case. A man was printed and found on the highway, dead at the scene, Toshkovski said.

Police are working to fully clarify the circumstances in which tragedy occurred, as well as to identify and locate the driver who left the scene.

More details about the case are expected after the outcome of the inspection and investigative actions taken.
