Liverpool’s former captain, Steven Gerard, has admitted that he regretted leaving the club in 2015, saying he would have stayed for another season if he knew that Jurgen Klopp would replace Brendan Rodgers.
Jerard made these comments while speaking to an audience in Singapore, according to TNT Sports.

The English said Liverpool had offered an extension of the contract for a year, but discussions at the time suggested he would become more a secondary player. This moved him to move to the MLS, LA Galaxy.
The former midfielder said Clopp’s immediate arrival would have changed his decision.
He explained he would be betting and would have stayed to impress the German coach and win a role on his team.
Klopp took over Liverpool’s direction in October 2015 and continued to lead the club towards the Champions League trophy and Premier League.
Gerard made 710 presentations for Liverpool, marking 186 goals and winning eight grand trophies with the club. /Telegraphy/
