About 200 firefighters and members of emergency teams struggled for hours with the flames that swept through the historic building known as Eagle’s nest (The Eagles Nest), south of Germany.
Meanwhile, police have detained a person near the scene and are investigating the causes of fire.

The fire broke out in the Kehlsteinhouse building, near Berchtesgaden, in Bhavari. According to the German newspaper Bild, the building has suffered so much damage that it may not be saved.
Built in 1938 as a reception home for Nazi officials and their guests, the building is located in the bavarese Alps, and it was used repeatedly also by Adolf Hitler.
For this reason, it was also known as Hitler’s Tea House.
After World War II, the object was preserved as a historical monument associated with the Nazi period.
The bavarian police have announced that the cause of the fire is still unknown. Authorities are investigating whether the banned person has anything to do with the incident, but so far no such connection has been confirmed. /Telegraphy/
