The budgets lack 900m euros, while the second rebalancing is the acceptance of the government’s poor finance and economy management, said LSDM Chairman Venko Filipce.
More and more are becoming clear that the budget is in catastrophic condition, nearly one billion euros are lacking, 900m euros are missing from the budget, and in addition, one billion euros are missing from the pension and disability insurance fund. Budget stability is seriously under threat, as well as questions about where and what resources in the coming period, whether before New Year’s Eve or early next year, Philipce has said.

He stressed that, while other countries are already discussing budgets for next year, Macedonia is making a second rebalancing within a year.
There is no place that now makes a second budget rebalancing. All countries that are managing well are already discussing budgets for 2027. What are we doing? A rebalancing so once this rebalancing can begin and discuss next year’s budget open, Filipce stressed.
The LSDM chairman, at today’s press conference, said the rebalancial does not provide money for higher wages and better standards, but rather cuts in capital investments and paves the way for new borrowing. He recalled that with the July rebalancing, the deficit increased with the explanation that funds would go into capital investments, but now those investments are being cut short, while the increased deficit remains.
Filipce said poor planning is also seen in revenues, whose projection government is now reducing, while public debt, as he said, continues to increase.
In turn, there is no greater evidence of poor planning and lack of capacity for institutions. In July, Government in July increased the project to 379.5 billion denars, while now reducing it to 5.3 billion denars to about 374 billion denars. What does that mean? That the income side is seriously underfunded. Public debt is increasing, it will reach 12 billion euros with public enterprises’ debts, mainly of the State Roads Company, Filipce said, under which for two and a half years the debt has increased for about 4 billion euros.
