The SPG triumphed at the Parc des Princess Stadium, in a high-speed duel and numerous marking cases. The Parisian team managed to secure victory despite physical problems that forced some of its leading football players to leave the field prematurely.

Ousmane Deble, Kvaratskhelia and Marquinhos were replaced because of physical concerns, but this did not prevent the champion in power of Europe from retaining the advantage and obtaining three points.

After the match, Louis Enrique expressed satisfaction with what both teams showed, stressing the level of the game and the character of his team.

I believe we saw two teams playing extraordinary soccer with a very offensive game. We showed our level. It was a very competitive match, the Spanish coach said.

The SPG technique acknowledged that confronting Barcelona was not easy, especially because of the opponent’s quality and difficulties in controlling the game throughout the match.

It’s been hard keeping control of the game. There are only three more points, but it’s always positive to beat such a quality team. The players who entered from the reserve bank were excellent and gave us a great boost. We’re very happy, he stressed.

The Barcelona win represents an important result for the SPG in the Champions League, while Coach Louis Enrique may be pleased with the team’s response, especially in a match where injuries created difficulties during the game.

On the other hand, Barcelona suffered the first loss of the season in a confrontation that highlighted the offensive potential of both teams. The SPG thus continues its European journey with the aim of defending the title won last season.
