Albanian elected MP in Serbia’s Parliament, Wisar Mehmeti, has warned continued commitment to advancing the rights of Albanians in the Presevo Valley.
He in a statement to ABC News, Albanian deputy elected in Serbia Visar Mehmeti, has declared that over the past 14 years, Albanians in the Valley have not noted progress in realising their rights, but have faced regregations.

There have been negative changes in the Valley. In 14 years, the issue of Albanians has not been postponed before, we have only had a recession. It was more clearly seen that in Medvedja only 219 Albanians could vote, Mehmeti has declared.
Speaking of his commitment to the Serbian Parliament, which numbers 250 MPs, Mehmeti has stressed that he will not feel inferior in the face of the majority and that he will be persistent in addressing the demands of Albanians.
Serbian Parliament has 250 seats, but since I entered this race, I have been determined not to feel inferior in Serbia’s Parliament. So we have to approach them by raising the issue of recognition of diplomas and many more. We will be persistent in the Serbian Parliament, he has said.
Mehmeti has also spoken of the joint coalition of Albanian political subjects, stressing that it remains to be seen whether reconciliation will be reached on issues of importance for Albanians.
We have a sweeping coalition and see if we can find common language, he has expressed himself.
Commenting on political developments in Serbia, Mehmeti has estimated that the weakening of Aleksandar Vuciqi’s powers has started after the tragedy at the Novi Sad railway station, which sparked massive protests.
The beginning of the Vuciqi fall started two years ago with the fall of a railway station shield in Novi Sad. The protests then began, multiplied, and now came the peak, Mehmeti has declared. /Telegraphy/
