Michael Carrick has issued a fiery message to Manchester United supporters, acknowledging responsibility for the club’s poor form and insisting that he will fight to restore traditional values after humiliating defeat of Cosmo.

United’s coach went to the conference today (Friday), where he did not hesitate to accept the disappointment he has given fans following recent results.

It was really unacceptable for us to play like this, Carrick first admitted to today’s press conference.

The 45-year-old stressed it was his responsibility to put a team on the field capable of meeting the club’s representation pressure.

Carrick also cited the legacy of Sir Alex Ferguson, Wayne Rooney and Ryan Giggs, emphasising humility and hard work as the foundation of United identity.

He claimed he would not let the club lose its value.

We’ll take it back. Respect this football club, Carrick said, delivering a challenging message as pressure increases to improve results.

The essences of this football club and values have been rooted for many years. I totally understand and I understand everyone. It all depends on being modest, hard work, and being truly proud to adhere to these values.

This football club has been showing up for a long, long time. Whether we recover from the difficulties, returns, goals at the end, or sustainable success, this football club has very, very deep stability, United coach concluded. /Telegraphy/
