Do you find this familiar? Hungarian Prime Minister’s Reaction Comes After Vuciqi’s Loss in Serbia

The Hungarian prime minister has made a response by only four sentences about the sudden turn of the election night events in Serbia, respectively, following news that the student movement won the absolute majority in Belgrade with about 52 per cent of the vote.

As foreign media reports, a historic political turnover took place in Serbia after Aleksandar Vuciq, the recently resigned country’s president, conceded defeat in Sunday’s parliamentary elections in the evening.

According to Ipso’s initial predictions- CeSID, the Students’ List won about 52 per cent of the vote in a voter turnout of over 67 per cent.

Vuciq said in a live broadcast on Serbian public television: We lost the election, Student List won.

According to estimates, the student movement can host 138 seats in the 250-member Belgrade Parliament, while the ruling party will take about 105 seats.

And Prime Minister Péter Magyar reacted almost immediately to the results and developments on the road on his social networking site, Telegrafi traces.

Péter Magyar reacted to Vuciq’s announcement on his Facebook page immediately afterwards in his post, comparing the Serbian result to the Tisza Party’s April victory.

He wrote: In Serbia, Aleksandar Vuciq announced his defeat. The list of students wins the absolute majority in the election. The festivities have started on roads across Serbia. Does that sound familiar?

As foreign media stress, the relationship between the leaders of the two countries has not been over recently, and the relationship between Serbian domestic politics and the two politicians has also surfaced directly during the Hungarian election campaign.

For years, Vuciq was considered one of the closest foreign allies of former Prime Minister Viktor Orbán in the region. /Telegraph/
